On Wednesday’s we wore pink to raise awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and an important time for NBCF to highlight why research in this area is so crucial. Breast Cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 9 people losing their lives to the disease every day.
Cookery students learn to make some delicious desserts at our commercial kitchen including an Aussie favourite; sticky date pudding
Painting & Decorating students learn how to assemble and dismantle scaffolding at Shed 101

Surfing State of Origin event is set to take place at Burleigh Heads. The event promises to showcase some of the best surfers from Queensland and New South Wales, as they go head-to-head for state pride and bragging rights.

Fave pastime/hobby: I love travelling and being out in nature – whether it is walking in the rainforest, jumping in the waves or simply doing some gardening. I also love doing yoga and when time allows, I enjoy reading a good book and doing anything crafty (I make bracelets and mosaic)
Job role & how Anne can help you: I am an Assistant Campus Manager at Southport Central. I share the role with my colleague Laura Parra. She is more in charge of operations and I deal with academic matters. I am here to help students with their progress and any issues they may have in class. I also assess our new students on Orientation Day and last but not least, I teach ESL in the evening
